Hi blog friends! Thank you for visiting again. I have a new project, which I've been working on for 5 days. Finally, I'm done! I call it Homey 2012 Calendar.
This handmade box house measures 2.5"x3.5" at the base and about 4.75" in height (base to the tip of the roof). I just made up a template, drew the outline on the cardboard then cut the outline.

Here's the cardboard already cut into shape
This is how the box looks inside, all wrapped up with patterned paper.

The calendars are all tucked up inside as shown here, without the roof.

 And there's a window too!

Now here are my 12 individual calendars sitting on top of our couch (hehehe).
.
The best part is that my calendars have prayers at the back, so every time I take each one, I can also have a moment of reflection. These prayers were taken from a pack that my brother gave me way back in 2005.
Here's a different angle. I left the inner folds blank so I can write down notes later.

The back portion of my calendars.

The letter F on the box house stands for my family name. The stripped letter chipboard was wrapped with a patterned sticker sheet.

Ingredients:
cardboard
pieces of light blue cardstock
pieces of royal blue cardstock
pieces of cream paper
DCWV glitter cardstock
KC and Co paper
7Gypsies patterned paper
Prima patterned paper
All About scrapbooking papers, stickers, and chipboard
Martha Stewart puncher-Monarch
Martha Stewart puncher - doily lace
Cuttlebug quick cutz butterfly
rhinestone sticker gem
metallic pens
adhesive

The Craft Barn is having a Calendar Challenge Week . I think it would be fun to join this challenge.

Your house box is such a great idea and just perfect for storing the calendar pages. Wish I had thought of it but then I would have had to make a Mansion for mine!! Hugs Mrs A.
