A Shamrock is a symbol of Ireland and it was used by St. Patrick to symbolize the Christian Trinity. Though we don't celebrate St. Patrick's day here in the Philippines, the Shamrock is believed to be a symbol of good luck. But for us Pinoys, the Shamrock is more popularly known as a brand of a native delicacy called "Otap".

NOTE: MY SHAKER CARD WAS FEATURED AT WALTZINGMOUSE BLOG

Today, I got a freebie shamrock digi from Waltzingmouse, yey!! They gave out some freebies to kick off Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Party.

To make the shaker:
I colored the digi with Crayola color pencils and Faber-Castell color pens then cut it out into an oval shape using Spellbinders nesties die. I also cut out a few shamrocks from the digi. Then, I fixed a mounting tape around the shape of the oval, then sprinkled some silver stars into the oval, together with the cut out shamrocks.
Next, I placed a clear PVC over the oval and let it stick on the mounting tape. I decorated the PVC with an oval lacey frame and another layer of simple oval frame- both using Spellbinders die.

To assemble the card:
I followed the month's sketch by The Craft's Meow

The green patterned paper is from Echo Park Victoria collection. The scalloped border is from Echo Park Graceful Hybrid digitals. I added green gems and green ribbon. The sentiment --- I just wrote it since I don't have a "good luck" stamp.

This is my first ever shaker card and I really like how it turned out!
