Good day friends! I've been keeping a cardboard house that made last December. I left it undecorated for so long because I ran out out of ideas on what to do with it - until this month when I got a few die-cut elements and a pretty image, that I decided to have fun with it, and create a shabby-chic "Dream House"
So here goes....

The roof can be taken off actually, and the body of the house is hollow inside.
To prime the body of the box, I used paper mache technique using glue and scraps of paper.
Then,  layered it with printed papers by All About Scrapbooking.  I chose the prints with
paisley, tiny flowers, and stripes in shades of brown and coordinating colors of green and blue .

The roof was made out of scraps of brown cardstock that were used for
making wedding invitations. Each roof tile was hand cut and then put together with adhesive. I used 3M double sided tape.

I decorated the roof with assorted die-cuts of flowers, leaves, punched butterflies,
Prima and non-Prima flowers.   I inked some of the leaves and flowers with Tm Holtz Distress ink - Old paper and Versafine ink in Chocolate

I inked the corners of the house with Tim Hotlz Distress ink Old Paper and Versafine Chocolate. For the embellishments,  I used Vintage brooch by Les Memoir All About Scrapbooking; die-cut word Dream; and Punched border arches by Martha Stewart.
The cute image of a girl holding a balloon is by La La Land Crafts.

So, let me know what you think about my "Dream House" :-)
