Valentine Expoloding Box

Hello friends! How have you been? I just want to share a project I last week. A friend of mine requested to make him a card to surprise his girlfriend on Valentine's Day. I thought, an exploding box would be something different!

VALENTINE EXPLODING BOX

This is how the box looks outside. I used a silver cs for the lid and a pink cs as the mat for the box.

This box measures 2.5inches x 2.5 inches on all sides and was scored using Scor-Pal.

 

 I decorated the top of the lid with a colorful mix if Prima and non-Prima (pink roses) flowers. I added a pink bow and a tag that says, "Will you be my..."  - a sentiment from TCM stamps

Now, when the box explodes, you'll see this rose with a butterfly perched on it's petals. I made the rose with Spellbinders Blossom 4.

I wish you are able to see the glimmer on the rose. I sprayed 3 colors of glimmer mists to achieve this: Dreamsicle, Juneberry Wine, and Walnut Gold.

Papers and embellish: Prima cs Tea and Silk. Memory Makers Je T' Aime. Stardream silver cs. Venice white cs. Flamingo lavander cs. Glimmer mists. sticky gems. Flat back pearls.

Tools: Spellbinders blossom 4. Spelbinders foliage. Scalloped edge scissors. Cuttlebug quick cutz butterfly. Sizzix embossing folder. Hot glue.
